BACK TO WORK BUT NOT BACK TO NORMAL: LEADING YOUR MULTI-GENERATIONAL TEAM POST COVID-19

We are about to make another transition: re-entry. Many have said that COVID-19 simply accelerated workplace trends that were already happening. Join Lindsay Boccardo, a generational consultant and career strategist, as she pulls back the curtain to show that the developments that have happened because of the pandemic were already in motion and have landed us here, where younger generations expect flexibility in work and want you to care for their emotional health.

So, what’s reasonable? What can be done and what really needs to be done to keep top talent? Generations that didn’t grow up with cell phones or email are now having to hold conferences like we live in the Jetsons’ cartoon reality. Are you ready for hologram meetings?

Generational misunderstandings are not a new problem but when you add a pandemic and massive technology shifts, you may find that your teams need specific help, from you, to continue to heal and move forward.

Using her Four Factors of Engagement framework, along with Gallup data, Lindsay will unpack the striking similarities between what this next generation wants out of work and what we see happening in our workplace cultures in response to the current crisis. There’s good work to be done that will ultimately benefit every generation as we move forward together.

During this session, attendees will learn:

  • The history of the shift in expectations in the workplace
  • The four engagement factors that are true of younger generations
  • How you can increase the positive impact of a multi-generational workforce in your business as we all come back together
  • What employees look for from their leaders when handling the unknown
  • What future young employees will be looking for in your company as you recruit the next generation
