The IT Project Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of technical project delivery by utilizing the best practices of the Project Management Institute’s PMBOK to ensure that each project is executed to exceed customer expectations while balancing the needs of the delivery team. This position collaborates with associates throughout the organization to define, prioritize, develop, and deliver on assigned projects. This position interfaces directly with internal customers and project stakeholders to ensure that requirements, deliverables, schedules, and plans are clearly understood.

essential functions:

  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives while engaging all relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure that projects are delivered on-time, within scope and budget
  • Provide project status reports and serve as primary customer interface for scope, schedule, and budget issues
  • Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress
  • Measure project performance using industry best standard practices
  • Maintain relationships with customers throughout project
  • Communication to internal and external stakeholders in a timely fashion
  • Engage the with the legal department during all phases of the project to ensure compliance
  • Identify successful and unsuccessful project elements after project completion and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
  • Assist with creating repeatable, scalable best practices
  • Up to 10% travel
 Required skills and Experience:
  • Experience in IT project management including task definition, scheduling, budgeting, reporting, and resource management
  • 5+ years business experience
  • 3+ years of project management experience
  • Excellent detail oriented organizational skills
  • Superb client-facing communication skills
  • Experience with IT solutions development such as Virtualization, Networking, Data Analytics, and Security
  • Excellent customer service and time management skill
preferred skills:
  • Bachelor of Science degree preferred
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, Scrum Master certification, ITIL Foundations Certification, or PMP preferred but not required
  • Strong technical aptitude to aide in connecting business issues with technical issue
