You will have the opportunity to work closely with our Account Managers to provide outstanding customer service that impacts clients across multiple industries and HR areas. This role will not only focus on supporting the day-to-day operations of our clients’ benefit plans, but will also work directly with our client-facing team to create and execute a benefit plan strategy for our clients.
essential functions
- Participate with Account Manager in the implementation of carrier, TPA, vendor change or addition of new line(s) of coverage
- Work with Client Executive on renewal service contracts and execution; verify receipt and final contract to ensure reflection of negotiated terms and accuracy of data
- Assist with review of plan design summaries including Summary of Benefits and Coverage, Summary Plan Description, and other plan documents
- Create benefit summary booklet for review by Account Manager and Client Executive
- Assist Account Manager to obtain signed Business Associate Agreements (BAA), when appropriate, or update current client’s BAAs when regulations result in additional responsibilities being included in the BAA
- Provide day-to-day customer service to clients
- Assist Client Executives and Account Managers in developing retention strategies for existing clients
- Work with Health Risk Management team in the analysis of claims information and development of additional value-add reporting including, but not limited to, Benefit Informatics
- Gain working knowledge of functionality of resource tools (i.e. MyWave, Zywave, HR Connection, Compliance Dashboard, Online Enrollment, Benefit Administration)
- Review and maintain information in client management system (client contracts, summary plan documents, summary of benefits and coverages, business associate agreements and amendments)
- Assist with wellness strategy/campaign based on trend analysis of Health Risk Management team and Wellness Coordinator
- Prepare and distribute Request for Proposal (RFP) packets for all lines of group insurance coverages including medical, dental, vision, life, disability and other ancillary lines of coverage
- Responsible for the preparation of cost summaries for Account Manager review
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with key personnel at TPA’s, carriers and vendors; serve as primary internal contact for service needs

- Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
required EXPERIENCE
- 1-2 years experience with account management support or similar role
- Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal skills with keen attention to detail; professional presentation
- Strategic thinker with ability to prioritize projects
- Demonstrated skills: problem-solving, sense of urgency, detail-oriented, excellent organizational and time management
required education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Communication, Marketing, Risk Management & Insurance or related discipline or equivalent education preferred
