It seems like so many times when we tune to the local or national news, we hear of yet another active shooter event or violent workplace attack. Sadly, these events are occurring way too often. Given today’s threat environment, understanding how to prepare for and train employees to cope with workplace violence should be a key part of an organization’s incident response planning.
Numerous courts are now labeling Active Shooter as a recognized hazard/threat in the workplace. The OSHA General Duty Clause 5(a)(1) guides employers to “furnish to each of its employees a workplace that is free from recognized hazards that are causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm.” Denial is no longer an option for businesses. It is imperative that organizations take the necessary steps to build awareness, prepare and understand how to proactively respond when faced with a violent situation.
We invite you to join us for a half-day interactive workshop offered in both our Indiana and Arizona locations: Active Threat Awareness – How to Prepare and Respond to address the active threat landscape organizations face today, so you are prepared for tomorrow.
Attend this workshop if you would like to:
- Know what to look for to identify a possible impending threat
- Be able to react safely and effectively if you find yourself (and others) in an active threat situation
