Attention Arizona drivers! There is a new state law which has changed the rules for your automobile proof-of-insurance cards.
The new rule requires every auto ID card to include a 4-digit code identifying your auto policy’s insurance carrier. The codes are assigned by the Arizona Department of Transportation and will be added to your new identification cards. You should be receiving an updated card this month. If you have not received a new card by November 1st, please contact your MJ Consultant.
Also, please know that if you are stopped on the road and asked to show proof of insurance, you can always do so electronically, an option that was approved by the Arizona legislature back in 2012. Using a smart phone, tablet or other electronic device with internet access, you can simply pull up a digital copy of your insurance policy to verify the required levels of insurance coverage for the officer.
