Gratitude has an amazing way of transforming the ordinary.
Every day, the routine is the same. The alarm sounds, a quick coffee is brewed and we head out the door for another day of work. It’s easy to lose sight of what matters in the flood and flurry of that activity. Thank goodness for the holidays. It’s our opportunity for thoughtful gratitude.
Like most, I can easily rattle off the biggest blessings of my life—my family, my health, my friends, and yes, my career. I continue to be in awe of the team at MJ, and here is what I know with certainty:
My associates have turned into friends. There’s a diverse range of ages and personalities at MJ, but we’ve created a truly remarkable team that respects, encourages and protects each other. I feel the same about my clients, many who have been with us for literally decades.
Our plans have turned into accomplishments. We take our responsibilities seriously—safeguarding what matters most to clients is a privilege—and we approach every project with attentive planning. Always looking forward has created a history of success.
It’s a joy to learn from such a surprising array of teachers. Anyone can be a mentor at MJ; we all have something to share. Clients have been equally generous with their expertise and know-how, which ultimately improves our own performance.
I’m surrounded by characters with remarkable character. While I believe we have some of the best insurance professionals in the business at MJ, I also think they’re some of the best people in the world. They’re creative, talented, community-minded, family-focused, funny, kind and remarkably generous. They support each other through some of life’s toughest moments; they celebrate each other’s milestones and triumphs.
I’m one lucky, lucky man. Every day I get to work with people who lead and live by example, challenging me to be more and do more myself. It honestly doesn’t get any better than that.
