Matt’s story of individual success was not only inspiring but relatable and gives an understanding of how he’s personally positioned himself as a leader and a role model. Most notable, a lesson from coaching legend, Pete Carroll. “Protect the team.” It’s a lesson on the field and in the office. A leader is someone who understands the value in those around them, above them and under them, and does what he or she can to build them up and make them great.
