As we have mentioned in our prior blogs, MJ is a purpose-driven firm where we exist to “Inspire the success, fulfillment and wellbeing of each person we serve.” Our constituents that we serve are not only our associates and those that are impacted by our products and services, but also the communities in which we live. As many other companies do, MJ participates in a multitude of programs to “give back” to our communities and we do so in order to help these deserving organizations fulfill their missions and improve the lives of those that they serve.
At the core of our community involvement is our formal program that provides our associates with the opportunity to get involved with two organizations that our chosen by associates. Our “Charities of Choice” for the 2014-15 year are: Dayspring Center which provides emergency shelter, clothing and three nourishing meals a day for homeless families with children in central Indiana; and United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) of Central Arizona which creates progress and nurturing opportunities for children and adults with disabilities, as well as their families. Throughout the year, our associates participated in many different service projects with these two organizations, internal challenges and fundraisers as well as the Super Service Challenge – where over $14,000 was awarded to the two organizations.
It has been a real pleasure to be involved with these two worthy organizations over the past couple of years. We have not only felt a sense of pride in helping with their financial needs but more importantly, have seen first-hand the impact our associates have had on the lives of so many that these organizations serve. I truly believe that these organizations have inspired and positively impacted us as much, if not more, than we were able to impact them.
So, on behalf of all of the associates of MJ, we would like to extend a heart-felt thank you to Dayspring and UCP for allowing us to be a part of your organization!
