INDIANAPOLIS (May 6, 2013) – MJ Insurance, one of the nation’s leading property-casualty and employee benefits agencies, is one of the “Best Places to Work” in Indiana according to the Indiana Chamber of Commerce. MJ ranked No. 17 in the chamber’s medium-sized companies’ category. This is the fifth consecutive year that MJ Insurance has received the highly-coveted honor.
The award program, created in 2006, is the result of a statewide survey designed to identify, recognize and honor the companies that benefit the state’s economy, its workface and businesses. In all, only 100 companies earn this recognition.
All companies that participate in the Best Places to Work program receive an in-depth evaluation identifying strengths and weaknesses according to their employees. An employee survey, which counted for 75 percent of the total evaluation, also was a part of the process.
“We are proud to again be named one of the state’s ‘Best Places to Work’,” said MJ Insurance CEO Michael H. Bill. “This award is significant and valuable since it reflects how our employees feel about our company. It is an honor to earn this recognition.”
Indiana Chamber President and CEO Kevin Brinegar said companies making the list recognize how important it is for the success of a business to make employees feel valued. “Each one should be very proud of the positive environment they have created,” he said.
MJ Insurance and the other “Best Places to Work” companies were honored at an Indiana Chamber of Commerce awards dinner on Thursday, May 2. Ranked companies will also be featured in the Indiana Chamber of Commerce bimonthly publication, BizVoice and via Inside Indiana Business with Gerry Dick.
